DIY: Baby Mobile with Aaron Hardin
A few weeks ago, CO:Member Aaron Hardin and his wife, Alice, were elated to bring their first child into the world. To prepare for the big day, Aaron used our laser etcher and some ingenuity to make a homemade baby mobile. Here's how he did it:
First, Aaron created vector files of animal silhouettes and the scaffolding, which he found online. Using our laser etcher and some hobby wood, he cut out each piece.
Then, he took all of the individual pieces, arranged them to his liking, and put together the two scaffolding pieces.
Using fishing line, Aaron suspended each of the animals from the scaffolding. Then, with some string, he tied up the scaffolding so it could be hung from a ceiling.
Finally, he hung up the mobile above his designated desk area and took a nap instead of working on all of his other projects.
This is just one of the many things you can do with our laser etcher. So give it a try next time you're in! You'll be surprised at how easy it is to use!
